The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, on Tuesday, inspected the ongoing 1.5-kilometre drainage construction and channelisation project at Ayegbami towards Powerline, Ijede.
She was accompanied on the inspection by members of the legislative arm and the council management team.
The project is a major intervention aimed at providing a lasting solution to the flooding challenges in the area, and improve road accessibility. The drainage construction stretches from Ayegbami towards Powerline through Ile-Omi, connecting the Nureni Adeshola Street drainage, Abule-Eko road.

At the inspection site, the council chairman noted that “this project will deliver a long-term and sustainable solution to the persistent flooding issues being faced in the area.
