Kunle Adelabu
There has been a massive outpouring of good wishes and prayers for the Permanent Member, Lagos State Universal Basic Board (LSUBEB), Dr (Otunba) Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle (Omoluabi) as he marks another year on earth.
Dr Ibikunle, a seasoned educationist and Special Adviser on Constituency Matters to Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, was a former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Education Management, former Secretary to the Ikorodu Local Government and former Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Abike Dabiri- Erewa.
In commemoration of his birthday, Omoluabi, as the celebrant is fondly called by family members, friend, associates and well -wishers took to his Facebook page to express his appreciation to Olodumare for the gift of life and His blessings:
”Happy birthday to me. Grateful to God for his faithfulness in my life
“Grateful heart,” Dr Ibikunle wrote on his wall.
Since his announcement in the early hours of the day, people have been paying tributes and congratulating him.
Mr Lanre Yakub, in his tribute to the celebrant acknowledged the mentorship of Dr Ibikunle and prayed for Lord’s mercies upon him.
“Happy birthday to you sir. It is awesome knowing you and experiencing your fatherhood in brotherhood, your mentorship has impacted us all.
“As you navigate today into the ocean of your ever virile political future, may the Lord God in his infinite mercies give you good health, wisdom, protection and longevity to harvest the fruits of your labour.
“Happy birthday to you Dr., Igba odun, odun kan ni o. Age with abundant grace.”
The celebrant’s brother, Hafiz Goriola Ibikunle, also celebrating the impact of Omoluabi, wrote:
“Birthdays come once in a while but yours is like everyday to those that admire you so much.
“It is on this note, that I want to specially give thanks to God Almighty for the grace of life and prosperity in your doings, sir.
“I thank God for you and wish you a bountiful birthday today. Happy Birthday Celebration to you, Dr. Ibikunle. You shall not leave us young rather you shall live longer and lead us to the promised land, in Jesus name.
“Happy Birthday to you, Dr, ” Hafiz Ibikunle posted.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Social Development, Comrade Lekan Oba, celebrating the former SSA on Education Management, wrote:
“Today, I join other well -wishers to celebrate a Leader of great impact, Dr. Saheed Ibikunle permanent member SUBEB. May God continue to bless your path.
“Many happy returns sir.”
Mukadam Adesegun Ogunneye, described him as a man of the people.
“Happy birthday to a man of the people. May you live longer to achieve all your heart’s desires. Amin.”
An IT expert, Mr Tolu Omitogun, in his brief felicitation, stated: “MHR of this glorious birthday Sir…Aseyi Samodun lagbara Edumare”
While Comrade Pelaiye Okanlawon, who is now based abroad, also congratulating the celebrant, wrote on his page:
”Best wishes to you on your birthday my brother,OMOLUABI, more brighter,.rewarding, and fruitful years ahead in good conditions.
“Congratulations.”
Sanni Kehinde Oseni, Associate Professor of Soil Fertility and Management, and Rector, Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, in his own tribute to Dr Ibikunle, thanked the celebrant for being an inspiration and mentor.

Also felicitating Dr Ibikunle was Yemi Fasoyin Elufioye, who penned on his wall:

An educationist, Ms. Adebola Ogunniyi, in her own tribute also wrote: “Happy birthday sir. Wish you more prosperous years ahead in good health.”
HRH Abiola Kosoko, the Oloja of Lagos -elect and the Chief Executive Officer, Origin Zoo, also congratulating the celebrant described him as a friend and brother.

Adejoke Adelaja, also acknowledged the celebrant’s accomplishment and impacts on the youth.
