The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has felicitated His Royal Majesty, Oba (Hon.) Adefarasin Saheed Hassan, on his emergence as the new Alajede of Ijede.
Oba Adefarasin was presented the instruments of office – staff and certificate of recognition, by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo -Olu, on Friday, at the Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat.
The Governor was represented by Honourable Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert.
In a statement by Aroyewun, the council chairman said that the emergence of Oba Adefarasin, ushered in a new beginning for Ijede after over a decade of protracted struggle for the stool which prevented development, while also congratulating the people of Ijede for the development.
“On behalf of the good people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, I extend my warmest congratulations to you, HRM Oba Saheed Adefarasin Hassan, Ajanaku II, on your historic coronation as the Alajede of Ijede Kingdom.
“This momentous occasion marks the beginning of a new and significant chapter in the annals of Ijede Kingdom, and I rejoice with the entire community as you ascend to this revered throne. I trust that you will bring your vast experience, wisdom, and global exposure to bear on the governance and development of Ijede Kingdom”.
He expressed confidence in the leadership of the new Alajede, to use his reign to bring about socio – economic and cultural development to Ijede LCDA.
“I am extremely confident that under your enlightened and visionary leadership, Ijede Kingdom will witness remarkable transformation in all spheres- cultural, social, and economic.
“May your reign be long, prosperous, and blessed with divine wisdom and grace to steer your domain towards greater heights.
