The Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu Local Government, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, has assured teachers across Ikorodu Local Government that he is still committed to ensuring a brighter, prosperous and rewarding future for them.
Odumbo revealed this in a statement commemorating the new year, while also acknowledging their resilience, contributions and dedication to duty in 2025.
“To all our esteemed teachers across Ikorodu Local Government Education Authority.
“As we usher in the dawn of a new year, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you, the torchbearers of knowledge, the architects of our future, and the silent heroes of our classrooms.

“The year 2025 was not without its challenges, yet your resilience, creativity, and dedication ensured that learning never stopped and hope never dimmed. You stood tall in the face of adversity, nurturing minds and shaping destinies with grace and grit. For this, I say thank you,” he said in appreciation.
While expressing his assurance to give them a rewarding 2026, Odumbo also charged them to continue to strive for academic excellence.
“As we step into 2026, I stand tall and make a bold statement to rededicate myself to you for a brighter, prosperous and rewarding new year. May this year bring renewed strength, deeper fulfillment, and greater recognition for your noble service.

“Let us continue to raise the bar in educational excellence, uphold the values of integrity and inclusiveness, and inspire the next generation to dream boldly and achieve greatly.
“Together, we will build a more vibrant, innovative, and inclusive education system in Ikorodu Division, one that leaves no child behind and empowers every teacher to thrive.
“May 2026 be a year of peace, progress, productivity and prosperity for you and your loved ones.
