The Ikorodu Muslim Community Association (IMCA) during the week inaugurated a new executive council, marking the successful conclusion of its Shurah screening process and the beginning of a new leadership era for the association.
The inauguration which held at the Ikorodu Central Mosque, Obun-Ale, was attended by prominent Islamic scholars, community leaders and key stakeholders from across Ikorodu Division, notable among whom were the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, His Eminence Sheikh Seifudeen Olowooribi, Alhaji Sanni, President of Ridwanullah Movement of Nigeria(RIDMON), Sheikh AbdulWaasi Bawa-Allah, Sheikh Jamiu AbdulAzeez, and other distinguished personalities.
Following the presentation of the Shurah report by its chairman, Imam Abdulfattah Olutosin, Imam Abdul Hafeez Abojututu was formally announced as the new Coordinator of the association. He will steer the affairs of IMCA alongside a 22-member executive council constituted as follows:

In his address, the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, His Eminence, Sheikh Olowooribi, congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and charged them to serve with sincerity, accountability, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Muslim Ummah. He stressed the importance of unity, consultation (Shurah), and strict adherence to Islamic principles as the foundation of effective and impactful leadership.
The Chief Imam also commended the outgoing executive council, ably led by Imam Misbaudeen Rotinwa, for their dedication and achievements during their eight-year tenure, praying that Allah accepts their service as an act of worship.
In his acceptance speech, the new Coordinator, Imam Abdul Hafeez Abojututu, expressed gratitude to the grand chief Imam of Ikorodu, H.E Sheikh Seifudeen Olowooribi, the chief Imam Jamiu of Oriwu Central Mosque, H.E Sheikh Yahya Oshoala (As-samadani, who was unavoidably absent at the event, as well as respected elders, and members of the association for the confidence reposed in the new leadership.

He pledged that the executive council would work collectively to uphold Islamic values, strengthen community development, and advance the overall welfare of Muslims across Ikorodu Division.
