The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo -Alogba has urged other Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Ijede to emulate the commitment of the Lagoon View CDA, which was recognised as the 2nd Best in Lagos State at the 2025 Community Day.
Lagoon View CDA was honoured alongside other outstanding CDAs across the state on Thursday.
The Ijede LCDA team was led to the Police College Ground, Ikeja, venue of the annual event by the council chairman, and her vice, Hon. Femi Kabir. They were accompanied by the Chairman, Ijede LCDA’s Community Development Committee (CDC), Alhaja Kehinde Fesomu, Head of Department of Agriculture, Mr Babatunde Adedamola Sofia, CDC executives, CDS chairmen and council staff.

This year’s Community Day Celebration was themed “From Strength to Impact,”
Speaking at the event, Hon. Gbadebo -Alogba thanked Lagos State Government for its sustained grassroots empowerment.
Charging other CDAs in the Ijede LCDA, she said, “I congratulate Lagoon View CDA for making Ijede proud. I also encourage other CDAs to emulate their commitment as we continue to work together toward rural development.”

Lagoon View CDA was recognised for its effort in constructing 100 – meter pedestrian wooden bridge linking the neighbouring community, grading of local streets and purchase/installation of high -tension poles.
The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo -Olu presented the community a brand – new water supply tricycle to further enhance access to portable water.
