The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Dr ) Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has received two Awards of Excellence in the ongoing 37th Igbogbo Day Celebration.
The two awards which came within two days were in recognition of his quality representation as representative of Ikorodu Constituency II.
Hon. Aro who on Sunday received the second award at the special luncheon with Adeboruwa in Igbogbo on Sunday had on Friday received the first honour from the Conference of Igbogbo Indigenes in Public Service (COIIPS), when he was honoured for contributions to the development of Igbogbo.
In a statement by the Media Director/Personal Assistant to the lawmaker, Mr Rasaq Kabiru Babatunde, the award was presented by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, who lauded the lawmaker’s exemplary record of service, strategic leadership, and unwavering dedication to the sustained development of Igbogbo and its environs.
The revered monarch also affirmed that Hon. AMA’s performance has consistently manifested in tangible, measurable outcomes across key sectors of community life.
He said that the Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, recognised Hon. AMA for his “sterling performance, exceptional productivity, and his proven track record as one of the most impactful and development-driven representatives of the people.”
The committee further emphasised that his legislative interventions, grassroots engagements, and community development projects continue to exceed expectations and set new benchmarks for public service delivery.
Residents, stakeholders and community leaders described the recognition as well -deserved, noting that Hon. AMA has continued to transform Igbogbo and the entire Ikorodu Constituency II.
At the award ceremony were the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, former Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Sesan Daini. Also in attendance were numerous political leaders, respected traditional rulers, and members of the AMA Team Smile Foundation, all of whom commended the lawmaker for his leadership, accessibility, and consistent delivery of impactful results.
