Igbogbo, again, came alive for football fans at the weekend as the quarter final matches of the Adeboruwa Cup 2025, were played among the last eight teams with four qualifying for the semi – final matches.
While Ifeoluwa FC emerged victorious in their game against Pineapple FC by 3 – 0, Back of Model FC also beat Awobo FC 3 – 1.
In the third quarter final encounter between Adegbose FC and Agunfoye FC, the match ended goalless at the end of the regulation time, and the winners had to be decided through a penalty shootouts which ended 1– 4 in favour of Agunfoye FC.
The last match between Ayegbami FC and Baba Ode FC also ended goalless after the regulation, but Baba Ode FC triumphed after a penalty shootouts, by 4 – 5 goals.
Ifeoluwa, Back of Model, Agunfoye and Baba Ode will now trade tackles in the two semi -final matches to decide the two teams that will play in the final match of the annual competition.
