The fair, which was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, in partnership with the Agriculture and Social Services Departments, across the 57 Local Council Areas and Local Council Development Areas in the state, was held at Police College Ground, Ikeja, on Thursday.
This year’s celebration was themed, ‘Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future’, underscored the importance of food in uniting people, nourishing society and fostering a better future.

The event, which aligned with the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo -Olu, offered farmers a platform to share ideas which foster economic growth. It also afforded them the opportunity to get immediate feedback from residents that attended the fair, and other farmers.
In a statement by the Imota LCDA, it said that farmers from the council area participated in the fair to showcase a variety of agricultural products, with the event providing them with an opportunity to network and connect with other farmers and potential clients for future collaborations.

The team of farmers from the rural council was led by Mr. Bakare Sikiru Olukayode, Head of Agriculture and Social Service Department, who noted that their participation highlighted the commitment of Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele’s administration to achieve food sufficiency, maintain a clean environment, and promote community well-being.
