The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba, has described the celebration of Nigeria’s independence anniversary as an occasion to celebrate our unity and honour the memories of the country’s founding fathers.
In a statement commemorating the 65th Independence Day anniversary of the country, Hon. Gbadebo -Alogba also assured President Bola Tinubu that the entire nation is fully behind him in achieving sustainable returns and transformation.
“Today, I joined the good people of Ijede LCDA and all Nigerians in celebrating our beloved nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
“Independence Day is a special occasion to celebrate the unity, diversity, and strength that bind us as a nation. It is also a time to honour the sacrifices of our founding fathers and patriots who broke the chains of colonialism and secured the freedom we enjoy today.”
She called for collective support for Mr President’s reform agenda, and charged Nigerians to remain steadfast in ensuring that justice and equity prevails.
“As a nation, our collective commitment and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remain essential as we continue to stay united and indivisible in rebuilding our economy, creating jobs, strengthening security, and combating corruption.
“To achieve the Nigeria of our dreams, we must remain resilient and steadfast in upholding the principles of justice, equality, and freedom.
“On this day, let us celebrate with pride and gratitude for the blessing of living in a free and independent nation.
“Happy Independence Day!”.
