Engr. Sunday Oshin Elected African Church Cathedral Warden For Historic Third Term

Engr. Sunday Oshin, re – elected Warden, The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu

The African Church Bethel Cathedral Ikorodu has elected new executive officers into its Cathedral Council – the management team of the Church with Engr. Sunday A. Oshin, MNSE, R. Coren, being returned for the third term as the Cathedral Warden.

Engr. Oshin who achieved the feat which is the first time someone has been elected for three terms in the annals of history of the Church, was elected alongside others at the annual Cathedral Vestry Meeting which held at the Cathedral Church after the usual Sunday service.

Others elected were Omoba Adesoji Alagbe, Church Secretary, Bro Moses Kuti, Pastors’ Warden; Mrs Aderoju Shobowale, Treasurer; Mrs Oluwaseyi Abiodun Osho, Financial Secretary; Mrs ‘Yinka Majekodunmi, Public Relations Officer and Barr. Olajide Abiodun, Legal Officer.

Madam Helen Talabi and Prince Lanre Ighodalo were elected as Trustees.

Engr. Oshin reacting to his re – election described it as a rare privilege which he is appreciative of greatly.

“With a heart full of gratitude, I sincerely appreciate the privilege and support of all members of the Church. For the first time in the history of our Church, I have been reappointed as the People’s Warden for a third consecutive term. This is a rare honour, and I do not take your trust for granted.

“I remain deeply thankful to God Almighty, whose grace has sustained me, and to the entire church family for your love, confidence, and unwavering support.”

He said that his election is another call to serve and pledged to continue to uphold the mission of the Church in the discharge of his responsibility.

“This election is not just an honour but a call to greater service. By His grace, I will continue to serve faithfully, uphold the mission of the Church, and work hand in hand with everyone for the growth of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.”

Meanwhile, the national body of The African Church has announced the appointment of Engr. Sunday Oshin, and Mrs Yinka Majekodunmi, the the newly re – elected Warden and Publicity Secretary, The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu as members Board of Governors, The African Bethel School, Ifako, Lagos.

They were appointed alongside 10 others with  Dr (Mrs) Esther Sogbanmu as the Chairman.
