NDLEA Officer, Oresajo Oyesanmi Now Deputy Commander Of Narcotics

Mr Oresajo Oyesanmi Michael, a senior officer with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has been promoted as the Deputy Commander, Narcotics, by the national agency.

He was decorated with his new position on Thursday.

The Ikorodu – born Oresajo, joined the NDLEA, Ogun State Command, in 2022 , and within his short stay in the command, he was promoted to the enviable commander cadre as Assistant Commander of Narcotics. His appointment was backdated to 2020.

His new promotion, which is equivalent to Deputy Commissioner of Police, is effective from January 1, 2025.

He was promoted after emerging as top contender for the position of Deputy Commander of Narcotics, after recent competitive interview and screening.

Following his promotion, he has been attached with National appointment as Deputy Commander, Operation and Training, Idiroko Special Area Command.

Meanwhile, many residents of Ikorodu have been congratulating Oresajo on his new appointment, describing it as a welcoming development because it is the first time an lkorodu indigene out the few that are in NDLEA would be attaining such position the agency.

Oresajo, over the years, had work in tandem with many individuals and groups in Ikorodu, to combat drug abuse and crimes through his constant engagement, outreach programmes and lectures.

His position and voice on the social media platforms related to Ikorodu, have also played prominent roles in the campaign against social vices.
