The Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, has revealed his plans to commemorate his 100 days in office with a leadership workshop.
He assumed duty as the Education Secretary on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Alhaji Odumbo said the workshop is part of human development agenda for LGEAs, sectional heads, school administrators, coordinators, union leaders – National Union of Teachers (NUT) and Non – Academic Staff Union (NASU) and others. He emphasised that the workshop is part of means to carry stakeholders along and make them key into the THEME Plus agenda of Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State.

He made the revelation when Asiwaju Rotimi Erogbogbo led members of the RHODA Youth Centre on a courtesy visit to his office.
“By God’s grace and the support of all my leaders, my 100 days will be on the 25th of September and there is a plan to make it significant. I will be having a leadership workshop – a training exercise for all our head teachers, desk officers, and coordinators of centres among others.
“We are bringing them to the hall where IKODASS, under the leadership of Asiwaju Erogbogbo, renovated for us. We are going to speak to them on leadership, administrative skills, and other areas, so that when they go back to their various schools they will start incorporating those ideas. We must change the narratives.

“In my own case, I have spent all my life attending public schools and the government is actually doing a lot to develop the public schools, but we need NGOs, corporate bodies and others to assist and key into the THEME Plus agenda of Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwolu, who has very keen interest in education and he has poured so much money into it, particularly the primary sector.”
The education secretary furthered, “It is our duty to also compliment his effort by ensuring that we go back to all our schools and make sure that all those agenda are being replicated and implemented.”
