Apanisile, Matthew Campaign Team Get Communities, Road Unions’ Endorsement

The campaign team of Hon. Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanishile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and his running mate, Hon. Matthew Adesanya, popularly known as “APA – MATH Campaign Team’, on Monday met with Baales and other representatives of Lasunwon, Araromi Okegbegun, Apeka, Rofo and Hausa communities, to seek their support in the July 12 elections.

At the meeting held at the Lasunwon palace hall were Chief Tajudeen Atobajaye, Baale of Araromi Okegbegun, Chief Olayiwola Adeowo, Baale of Lambo Lasunwon, Chief Kamoru Shokoya, Baale of Apeka and Chief Muyideen Kelani, Baale of Rofo.

All the councillorship candidates – Hon Idris Liasu, Hon Risikat Ibrahim Olobi, Hon Oluwaseyi Onabajo and Hon Babatunde Banjoko, were also part of the entourage.

In a statement by the APA – MATH Campaign Organisation, Hon. Wale Olowolagba, Director -General (DG) of the campaign team, formally introduced the Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship and all the Councillorship candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) and solicited for the Baales and other community leaders’ support for the party by voting APC candidates in the July 12 elections.

While emphasizing the significance of the visit, the campaign DG also appealed to them to galvanise support of the Hausa community in their areas for the APC.

Chief Olayiwola Adeowo, Baale Lambo Lasunwon community who spoke on behalf of other Baales appreciated the APC. In particular, he commended Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson for the construction of Lambo Lasunwon Road.

He urged the candidates to facilitate the establishment of a secondary school to serve the communities when they are elected.

The Baale also solicited for regular road grading and construction of drainage systems in other communities, while assuring Hon. Apanisile and his vice chairmanship candidate will receive maximum votes from residents in the coming elections.

After the meeting with various community leaders, the team also engaged with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), at CDC Hall, LASTMA Yard with the campaign DG also appreciating the unions for their support and enjoined them to continue to mobilise for the APC.

He also commended them for donating campaign souvenirs to the team.

While the NURTW team was led by Otunba Waliu Daisi, former State Vice Chairman and at present, a Branch Chairman and Comrade Mayor Laketu Gbenga, Branch Chairman and Financial Secretary Zone H, the RTEAN was led by Alhaji Hakeem Esho, Zonal Chairman.

The union leaders assured the APA – MATH Campaign team of total support from their members for all the APC candidates in the coming elections

Comrade Laketu, the leader of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN), a branch of the NURTW, also pledged the support of TOOAN’s members and urged the chairmanship candidate to consider one of them for a supervisorship position when elected.

Hon Apanishile in his response at both engagements, assured the people of his readiness to promote an inclusive governance that will accommodate every stakeholder in his development plans as enshrined in his ‘New Deal Agenda’.

(Mrs) Taibat Shoaga, Director of Women Affairs, Hon Niyi Odugbesi, Secretary to the Ikorodu North LCDA (SLG), Hon Sesan Odueyigbo, Director for Planning and Strategy, Hon Niran Adeyemi, Hon Olakanmi Tijani, Hon. Balikis Aderoju, Hon. Bola Daramola, Hon. Muyideen Salau, Hon. Muyiwa Gilbert, Hon. Mrs Lydia Agoro, Hon. Ambali Olutusin, Hon. Mrs Basirat Adewunmi and Hon Abiodun Banjo.
