The Bishop of Lagos West Diocese of The African Church, Bishop Hezekiah A. Adetoro, has been elected to the position of an Archbishop.
Bishop Adetoro, who has his seat in The African Church Bethel Cathedral (ACBC), Ikorodu, as the headquarters of the Lagos West Diocese, was elected to the enviable position with majority votes at the General Meeting of The African Church at the Adeniyi Coker Memorial Chapel, Ifako on Thursday, May 29.
In a statement congratulating the new Archbishop on behalf of the ACBC, Prince Adesoji Alagbe, Secretary, Cathedral Council, Engr. Sunday A. Oshin, Cathedral Warden and Ven. Gbenga M. Babatunde, Provost, prayed that God should grant him the spiritual capacity to handle his new position.

“On behalf of the Cathedral Council, the Management and the entire congregation of the African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, we heartily congratulate you on your elevation to the esteemed position of Archbishop of the African Church following a victorious election.
“May God grant you wisdom, guidance, and divine insight as you embark on this new responsibility. We pray that your leadership will be characterized by truth, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the teachings of Christ.

“We celebrate this remarkable achievement and look forward to your continued spiritual guidance.
“Congratulations once again, Archbishop Adetoro H.A.,” the statement said.
The new Archbishop Adetoro will be officially consecrated on Saturday at The African Cathedral of St. James African Church, Idi – Ape, Abeokuta, where his new duty post will also be announced.
