The Chairmanship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) has continued to garner support especially from the critical sections of his party and across the council area.
Following his endorsement by the apex leaders of the party in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, who also pledged to work for his emergence last week, the chairmen of the five political wards in the council who also occupy important and strategic position have also endorsed and pledged to mobilise votes for him massively.
Aroyewun met with the ward chairmen on Sunday, at the Grand G Arena, Ayegbami, Igbogbo, owned by a chieftain of the APC and former Assembly member, Hon. Gbenga Oshin.
At the meeting, Mr. Olakunle Soberu (Ward C1), Mr. Daisi Omotayo (Ward C2), Mr. Kayode Adeleye (Ward C3) Mr. Hassan Shehu Adewale (Ward C4) and Mr. Ogunsowo Saheed (Ward C5) signed the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission’s (LASIEC) form of the candidate.
It was gathered that the ward chairmen commended the candidate for his wisdom in handling his emergence and the way he has been going about it. They also called on other aspirants for the chairmanship position to accept the party’s decision and work for the candidate.
Meanwhile, in a statement by the Ona Ogo Media Team of Hammed Aroyewun, the meeting was described as a remarkable show of unity and progress.

The statement furthered, “They all offered heartfelt prayers for his success in the forthcoming election, expressing confidence in his vision and plans for the development of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

The Local Government election across the 57 Local Governments and LCDAs in Lagos State is slated for July 12, 2025.
