-Rep. Benson appreciates her feat with N1million

Ikorodu – born Makanjuola Mariam Amoke who graduated with a distinction from the Nigerian Law School, has said that her inability to graduate from the Lagos State University, LASU, with First Class made her doubted herself to the extent of querying if she could ever achieve the feat.
But with perseverance, hard work and commitment at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, Amoke attained First Class in the Law School for the 2024/2025 session.
In recognition of this outstanding achievement, Hon. Babajimi Benson invited her to his constituency office last weekend, where he congratulated her and presented her with a cash award of one million naira.

Amoke graduated from LASU with a CGPA of 4.20, which made her doubt herself in the 2022/2023 session.
“Graduating with a 4.20 CGPA from LASU without clinching a first class made me doubted myself. I questioned whether I could ever achieve that feat in law school. Still, I kept working hard, refusing to relent.
“When it finally happened, it felt almost unreal. But more than anything, I felt deeply fulfilled. I set a goal, committed myself to it, prayed earnestly, and gave it everything I had, and today, I’m living that dream. The feeling is truly indescribable; nothing I have ever experienced compares to it,” she exudes fulfillment.

She attributed the secret to the feat in law school to the belief that success is non – negotiable which pushed her to be hardworking, resilient and prayerful.
“I come from a family where hard work, resilience, and prayer are not just values — they are a way of life. At law school, I made a personal decision that ‘tired’ would never exist in my dictionary. Even on days when self-doubt crept in, I pushed harder. I remained consistent, disciplined, and prayerful.
“In short, it was a combination of unwavering faith, relentless effort, and an unbreakable belief that success is non-negotiable”, she said.

The First -Class graduate, also commending the recognition given to her feat and hosting by Rep. Babajimi Benson at his constituency office last weekend, said that the gesture has propelled her to greater excellence, while adding that her dream is to be a globally recognized lawyer.
“Excellence attracts excellence. I am honored and grateful for the recognition by Rep JB. It serves as a reminder that when you put in the work and stay true to your purpose, the world will take notice. It has further fueled my commitment to even greater excellence in the future.
“My ambition is to become a globally recognized international lawyer, using my skills and passion to make a lasting impact on the world stage”.
