AMA Launches Financial Empowerment Scheme For Women Entrepreneurs Phase II

The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) in the Lagos State House of Assembly, is not resting at all on his agenda of empowering his constituents and change their socio – economic status.

The first – term lawmaker and Chairman of the House Committee on Public-Private Partnership, who announced application for his AMA POS Scheme two days ago, has also launched the second edition of another empowerment agenda for women in Ikorodu Constituency II.

Hon. Aro had in November 2023, supported over 1000 women constituents who are into small – scale businesses with millions of naira. The recipients, organized into 58 groups, received non-interest funds designed to rotate among beneficiaries, fostering business growth and financial stability.

According to his Media Director/Personal Assistant, Razaq Kabiru Babatunde, “As phase two commences, the scheme will see an increase in funding for previous beneficiaries who have successfully managed their businesses.

“Additionally, new applicants will be inducted into the program, expanding the reach and impact of this transformative initiative.

“This initiative reflects Hon. AMA’s dedication to empowering women, ensuring they have the resources needed to expand their businesses and contribute meaningfully to the economic development of Ikorodu Constituency II,” he said.

Hon. Aro has also reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting women entrepreneurs in his constituency, emphasizing that the initiative is going to be a sustainable economic support system.

He pledged to inject additional funds to ensure more women benefit, strengthening grassroots businesses and fostering economic growth continuously.
