LG Election 2025: Bashexy Throws Jibes At ‘Unqualified’ Chairmanship Aspirants

Oluwakemi Hassan (General Bashexy)

Oluwakemi Hassan, a music promoter and political operative who has been examining the upcoming Local Government elections and agitating for qualified people to be saddle with the responsibilities of administering council administrations, has thrown some jibes at many of those aspiring.

Hassan popularly called ‘General Bashexy’, who said that he is for a Greater Lagos and Renewed Hope, in his usual literal manner, charged against making the most important government at the grassroots a joke, while doing an overview of aspirants that have so far declared their intentions.

His piece which was forwarded to THE IMPACT is reproduced below:

Now everybody wants to be a Local Government / LCDA Chairman.

Don’t try to make a joke out of this…

It is bad enough that the minimum requirement is SSCE, while some of you know how truly you got the certificate you can’t defend, why are you also joining the list?

It is worse to see lots of people claiming to be graduates but their outlook is looking far below a secondary school graduate…

You know your capability but just because you have some connection out there… You just decide to join the race.

Also, looking from the age angle, the list is endless…

We got lots of under 40s.
We got lots of those within the Golden age.

To wow you, we also have some Baba 60s & above plus some conventional leaders on board… Striking the balance.

One other thing that impressed me is the nice and lovely different Banners & Posters out there, plus the brown envelopes already flying around… You are just making the work more difficult for our political leaders.

Some of those who you believe Stand Out, didn’t even Stand not to talk of Standing Out.

With the current situation in the country, what we should all know is that, at all time we should be open to/for positive movement that is progressive.

Our political/community Leaders, we need capable and committed people beyond selfish interests.

If we all Care. Let’s choose right for the betterment of ourselves and our dear country.
