The table tennis prodigy and national champion, Master Matthew Kuti, has made the star-studded lineup for the 2025 African Cup, scheduled to take place in Tunis, Tunisia from Feb. 25 to Feb. 27.
He will play alongside table tennis stars like Quadri Aruna, Omar Assar, and Dina Meshref.
The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) made the announcement on Sunday that Kuti was selected due to his rising profile in the sport.
Kuti won the Molade Okoya-Thomas Cup Men’s Singles title about two weeks ago.
Matthew Kuti has won four of the five major tournaments in Nigeria in the past few years. He won silver at the 2024 and 2025 African Championship in Tunis and Addis Ababa
He will be aiming at securing a spot in the 2025 ITTF World Cup in Macao, China, coming up in April 2025
