Councillorship Aspirant Support Primary School Pupils In Ward C2, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA

Sanni Sheriff Olamilekan popularly called ‘Garvey’, an aspirant for the Ward C2 Councillorship position, has distributed exercise books to pupils in the two primary schools in his political ward.

150 exercise books were distributed to Primary Two pupils in each of the two schools – Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye and U. A. M C (Eleja) Primary School, Igbogbo, last week.

According to the aspirant who also said that he gave some members of Justice Forum, his political group some of the branded textbooks to give to their children, said that the initiative is to support educational development in his ward.

“Educational development is one of my programmes as a Councillorship candidate and I decided to start with the distribution of exercise books to our pupils.

“This is just about my initiative on impacting the grassroots’ pupils especially in my ward C2. This will also reduce the financial burden of parents,” he said.

Mrs R.B. Ajidahun, Head Teacher, Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye, Mrs Odumade M.B., and some of the pupils, commended the gesture of the young politician.

Comrade Abdulsalam Tijani, President, Igbogbo Students’ Union (ISU) and Comrade Yunus Malik, Director of Studies ISU, who were representatives of the union were on the ground to monitor the distribution of the exercise books.
