One of the oldest men in Ikorodu, and a community leader, Pa Amos Olabinjo Oshin, popularly called, ‘Asiri Abo’, was buried last Friday in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

He died at the age of 97.

Ikorodu was agog with dignitaries who gathered to honour the late religious leader, philanthropist, former teacher and head of prominent families in Ikorodu and Igbogbo Kingdoms.

His Eminence Julius Olayinka Osayande Abbe, Primate, The African Church Nigeria & Overseas, Archbishops, Bishops and officers of the Church passing by the casket containing the remains of Pa Amos Olabinjo Oshin during the burial service to the late Trustee Emeritus of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu last Friday.

The funeral service kicked off at 11 am at The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga, Ikorodu, after which he was interred at his Itunpate home in Ikorodu.

The burial service of the trustee emeritus of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, was presided over by the Primate of The African Church Nigeria and Overseas, His Eminence Julius Olayinka Osayande Abbe. He was assisted by Archbishops, Bishops and other members of the Church clergy.

Also present at the well – attended service were His Royal Majesties, Oba Kabir Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu and Oba Semiudeen Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, who sent their staff of offices and Chiefs to represent them, as well as eminent personalities.

The burial was followed by a reception party at the Ikorodu Town Hall, Ikorodu.
