Aarebirin (Hon.) Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, has congratulated the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, on his election as Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum.
She described the feat achieved by the Governor on Monday at the Forum’s meeting in Lagos, as testament of his leadership and commitment to the progress and development of the state.
Hon. Olabanji – Oba, who is also the National Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria and an aspirant for the Ikorodu Local Government Chairmanship seat, gave the commendation in a statement on Tuesday.
“Dear H.E. Gov. Babajide Aduragbemi Sanwo-Olu, it is with immense joy and a sense of pride that we received the news of your unanimous election as the Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum. “Your journey to this pivotal role has been marked by a series of commendable accomplishments. As the Governor of Lagos State, our beloved great State of Excellence, you have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of our people. Your visionary policies and innovative initiatives have not only transformed Lagos, but have also set a benchmark for other states in the Southwest and Nigeria as a whole”.
Hon. Olabanji – Oba, who said that the Governor would provide necessary leadership and take the forum to a greater height, assured him of the needed support.
“The Southwest Governors Forum, a crucial assembly of leaders in our region, now looks up to you for guidance and strategic direction. We are confident that under your stewardship, the Forum will achieve new heights in fostering regional cooperation, economic development, and social progress.
