-Schedules empowerment of vocational training beneficiaries for July
The representative of the Ikorodu Constituency II and the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Public Private Partnership (PPP), Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has described the last one year of his representation as memorable and a period of total dedication and commitment.
Hon. Aro, in a statement commemorating his inauguration as a Member, Lagos State House of Assembly on June 6, 2023, also said that the duty has been greatly challenging, but that he has been able to attend to all the promises that he made in his manifestoes.
As a representative who is confident that he has delivered and will continue to deliver on his mandate, Hon. Aro Moshood said that the presentation of his account of stewardship in July, will not only highlight his projects and programmes implemented over the past year, but also showcase the vocational training beneficiaries who were fully funded by him.
“On June 6, 2023, I had the immense honor of being inaugurated as a lawmaker to represent the most amazing people of Ikorodu Constituency II. Your overwhelming support and trust in voting for me, was a gift of trust and responsibility that I have diligently strived to uphold”, Hon. Aro said.
“During my campaign, I presented a clear-cut manifesto, promising to deliver the dividends of democracy across various sectors, including education, infrastructure, welfare, jobs, health, businesses, and empowerment. Today, as we mark exactly one year since I took office, I am proud to announce that I have attended to all the items on the manifesto, and the positive impacts of our efforts are being felt across the constituency.
“The past year has been eventful, challenging and memorable. It has been a year of significant progress, where I have represented you with dedication and commitment. I spoke where you needed a voice, fought where there were battles to be won, lobbied for your interests, and sought assistance where necessary. Every victory has been a testament to your trust and prayers”, the lawmaker added.
To prove his practical representation, Hon. Aro said that he will be presenting his vocational training beneficiaries who, according to him, would also be empowered with tools of their trades.
“To further demonstrate the strides we have made together, I will be delivering a comprehensive steward report on July 9, 2024, at a scheduled Town Hall meeting and Empowerment program in Ijede Kingdom. This event will not only highlight the projects and programs implemented over the past year, but will also showcase the vocational training that was fully funded to empower the beneficiaries”, he said.
“Participants of these vocational trainings will be massively presented with equipment to help them kickstart their ventures, fostering economic growth and self-reliance within our community.
“I invite all members of Ikorodu Constituency II to join us at the Town Hall meeting, where we will celebrate our achievements and discuss the future. Your continued support and engagement are crucial as we build on the successes of the past year and strive for even greater accomplishments in the years to come.
