Children’s Day Celebration: Ikorodu West LCDA Chairman, Hon. Sulaimon Charged Nigerian Children To Dream Big, See Education As Power To Unlock

Children in Nigeria, especially those in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), have been charged on the need to dream big and use education in realizing their dreams.

The charge is contained in a statement by the Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO), to commemorate the 2024 Children’s Day celebration.

The council boss, who said that he is always proud of Nigerian youths, added that the enthusiasm of children in his community inspires him on a daily basis.

“On this special occasion of Children’s Day, I, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, FCA, FCTI, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, wants to express my heartfelt wishes and warm regards to each and every one of you. Today is a day dedicated to celebrating you, the future leaders of our great nation”, he said.

“First and foremost, I want you all to know how incredibly proud I am of the remarkable children we have in our community.

“Your enthusiasm, resilience, and eagerness to learn inspire me daily. You are the true assets that make Ikorodu West LCDA prosper, and your bright spirits fill our hearts with joy”.

He charged them to believe in the power of dreams and use education to attain whatever they might dream to attain in life.

“This Children’s Day, I encourage you to dream big and believe in the power of your dreams. Each one of you possesses unique talents and abilities that have the potential to shape our world positively”, Hon. Sulaimon said.

“Remember that education is the key to unlocking your dreams. It is a powerful tool that empowers you to overcome any obstacle that comes your way. I assure you that my team and I are working tirelessly to ensure that every child in Ikorodu West LCDA, has access to quality education. We will continue to invest in schools, teachers, and educational infrastructure, to create an environment conducive to learning”.

The council boss encouraged the children on the need to appreciate their parents for all that they have done for them.

“As you celebrate Children’s Day, take a moment to appreciate the love, care, and sacrifices made by your parents, guardians, and teachers. They play a significant role in shaping your character and providing you with guidance. Let’s always embrace the values of respect, compassion, and gratitude towards them”, he said.

“Dear children, may you continue to inspire us with your brilliance and illuminate the path towards a brighter tomorrow”.
