Rotaract Club Of Ikorodu Golden Rehabilitates Water Facilities At Zumratul Islamiyyah Grammar

In celebrating the 2024 World Rotaract Week, the Rotaract Club of Ikorodu Golden has rehabilitated the water facilities in both Zumratul Islamiyyah Junior and Senior Grammar School, Igbogbo, in an effort to ensure that students and staff have access to good water and also instill the habit of cleanliness and good hygiene in them.

The rehabilitated facilities were commissioned and handed over to the school authorities on Wednesday (yesterday) at a brief ceremony.

President of the Club, Rotaractor Adeleke Aroyewun, Esq., during the handing over ceremony, said that a needs assessment on the school was conducted and the hassles students face daily in getting water was particularly highlighted.

He added that the need of the school prompted his club to take action in both sections of the schools by rehabilitating the existing facilities.

In line with the club’s theme of the month,” Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (Wash)”, Rotaractor Aroyewun said that hand washing items were also donated with members of the club and school staff engaging in hand washing practice.

The school authorities appreciated the kind gestures of the Rotaract Club of Ikorodu Gölden, and also extended their gratitude to the Rotary Club for deeming it fit to extend the club’s project to their school.
