Comrade Japheth Abolade Odesanya, the Chairmanship aspirant for the Ikorodu Local Government and symbol of ‘Kolujo’ team, has received endorsement of prominent Ikorodu personalities, for his aspiration.

The endorsement came from powerful chieftains of the foremost traditional institution in Ikorodu, Eluku, and other important personalities.

In a statement by Tayo Odetayo, who is handling the ‘Kolujo’ publicity, he said that the Ikorodu chieftains, including the Olumale Eluku, High Chief Olabanji Oreagba, Odofin of Ikorodu, Odofin Adewunmi Ogunsanya (SAN), and the Executive Secretary of the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited (IDPIL), Otunba Ganiyu Abiru among others, openly endorsed the aspiration of Japheth who himself is a traditional practitioner.

“And so the movement made a stop at the Eluku Palace, Itunpate, yesterday, for consultations with the movers & shakers of the sociocultural hub of our indigenous town”, he said.

“The reception bore an identical semblance with others experienced thus far in the struggle, in warmth, affection & ecstasy. The Olumale of Eluku, High Chief Olabanji Oreagba, wasn’t pretentious when on sighting the symbol yelled “my incoming chairman”. Odofin of Ikorodu & DSTV Chairman, Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya (SAN), with a warm smile, simply uttered, “you can count on my support’’.

“Otunba Ganiu Abiru said, as he held hands with the symbol & turned to the next seated traditional chief, ’’this is our next local government chairman’’.

“Alashe of Itunmoja, Chief Wasiu Akinsanya, had, in the Ijebu dialect, said, ‘’uwó nwà’ (you are the chosen), among other numerous positive remarks that space constraint won’t permit”, he added.

While expressing the team’s appreciations, the ‘Kolujo’ publicist assured various personalities that endorsed their symbol that the movement won’t take the trust reposed in their symbol for granted.

“The occasion won’t be forgotten quickly by the team, to which we wish to express our indescribable gratitude to our numerous supporting mothers & fathers, with a promise that the gesture won’t be disappointed”, Tayo said.

“WE ARE MORE THAN GRATEFUL!

“To Kólùjó is to be a Japhet. Eluku ti s’òrò. ÌLÚ gangan ti s’òrò!”.
