Commendations and prayers have trailed the birthday celebration of Dr Saheed Ibikunle, Member, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LSUBEB), as participants on THE IMPACT platform, felicitated the erudite scholar.
Dr Ibikunle, who is popularly called ‘Omoluabi’ by friends and admirers, celebrates his birthday every February 3.
Mr Matti Olakunle Aliasau, the General Secretary, Ijede Development Foundation (IDF), who said that he is a proud product of OMOLUABI doctrine, described the erudite scholar as an embodiment of what Omoluabi stands for in the Yoruba philosophy and a thorough bred educationist.
“A trailblazer, an epitome of OMOLUABI politics, a teacher, researcher, an educationist, a kind hearted leader, a unifier, a mentor, I can’t mention all the outstanding qualities and what makes you stand out and tall among your contemporaries”, he said.
“Happy birthday to you sir. You shall live long to enjoy the fruits of your labour”.
A broadcast teacher with the Department of Mass Communication, Lagos State University of Science & Technology (LASUSTECH), Dr Steve Anu’ Adesemoye, in his own congratulatory message, prayed for the celebrant.
“May you find a rare favour of Almighty Allah, to start this new chapter. He has prepared you for greatness against all odds”, he said.
“May you never misuse the opportunity you have been praying and waiting for. Happy birthday and many happy returns, sir”.
Mr Hassan Temidayo (Dee1), a lecturer with the YABATECH, also felicitated the man he described as a mentor and community builder.

“Wishing a phenomenal mentor, community builder, educationist and a politician, a day as extraordinary as the impact you’ve made. May this year brings you continued success, joy, and fulfillment. Cheers to another year of inspiring leadership!”, he said.
A public analyst, Tayo Odesanya, in his own message, emphasized the ‘Omoluabi’ ethos in the celebrant, adding that he has mentored many.
“In solemn extolment of the virtues of an Omoluabi, mentor to cerebral multitude, architect of success stories, nation builder & dexterous politician, Otunba (Dr.) Saheed Ibikunle, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday”, he said.
