Aroyewun Felicitates Icon Of Excellence, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe At 80

A prominent youth leader in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, Hon. Hammed Aroyewun, has described Senator (Sir) Dr. Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister of Works, as an icon of excellence.

Aroyewun, who was an aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, in the last general elections, in a statement congratulating Ogunlewe who is a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), described him as a personality that has worked very hard to attain the peak of his careers and other endeavours.

Ogunlewe, who is currently the Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG), held a Special Thanksgiving Service in commemoration of his 80 birthday at the United African Methodist Church (Eleja) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

In attendance at the event were the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Toyin Ayinde, chieftains of the GAC, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Sen. Anthony Adefuye and Sen. Tokunbo Abiru represented by Dr. Saheed Ibikunle, among others.

“I rejoice with our highly revered Leader and Father, Otunba Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister of Works and Member, Governance Advisory Council, Lagos State, on his 80th birthday celebration”, Aroyewun said.

“I choose to refer to you as an Icon of Excellence as you remain one of the very few who is consistent with excellence and always strive to attain the highest level in any endeavour or commitment.

“Attaining the age of 80 is a special gift for any human, and like the proverbial fine wine, there is a special grace that accompanies your age, you keep getting better over time and this is deeply evidenced by your recent giant strides as Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resource Group.

“I wish you a prosperous birthday sir, in good health and renewed grace”, Aroyewun prayed.
