OPC Leader, Idiamin Buried In Igbogbo

The remains of Prince Samson Oyerinde Otepola, popularly called, ‘Idiamin’, former OPC leader arriving igbogbo for burial.

The remains of the leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development, Prince Samson Oyerinde Otepola, popularly called, ‘Idiamin’, has been interred at his residence, Baptist Church Street, Macaulay, Igbogbo.

Idiamin, who, until his death, was a Special Adviser to Aare Ganiu Adams, the Aare Onakankanfo and the national leader of the OPC, died on September 19, 2023, and was buried on Tuesday, September 26, 2023

He was 63 years.

The burial of the OPC leader he was not without drama, as members of the OPC and other local vigilance team in Igbogbo, stopped the hearse that conveyed the Idiamin’s remains at the AUD Primary/Odofin junction in Igbogbo, and told his family that proper procession must be staged before his burial.

After about an hour of the ensuing drama, the family yielded and the remains of the late OPC leader was returned in a long convoy to Ogolonto from where a large procession moved through the Lagos Road to Agric, Ikorodu garage roundbout, Ayangbure road, Aga, Gbasemo down to Igbogbo, before he was taken to his home at Macaulay for burial.
