Former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat, Mr Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has described the celebration of Eid – il – Adha as commemoration of the sacrifice to God, for the ultimate good of humanity.

In his statement on the auspice occasion, the young community developer charged Muslims and Nigerians in general, to cultivate the act of sacrifice and offer prayers for the development of Nigeria.

“I celebrate with all Muslims across the world on this significant religious celebration. It is a celebration that commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), ASW, to sacrifice his son as an act of ultimate piety to God (SWT). Simultaneously, as the ultimate act of divine mercy, a ram was provided as a substitute for the sacrifice. Which of the mercy of God can we deny?”, Aroyewun asked rhetorically.

“This auspicious occasion bothers so much on piety and mercy and it emphasizes the importance of special prayers, engaging in acts of charity, and compassion. The little we can do is to share fún, and halal meals with family, friends, and the less privileged. It is also a time of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual renewal. May God bless us to do much more”.

He charged Muslims to always remember President Tinubu in their prayers for God’s guidance to enable him manage the affairs of the country and lead it aright.

Aroyewun also called for unity and love among residents in the spirit of the period.

“On this special day, I urge all Muslims to extend their prayers to our dear nation, especially our President, H. E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The need to get it right as a nation has never been more pronounced, hence, it is important that we offer our supplications on behalf of our dear President, requesting that Almighty Allah (SWT) consider him an instrument worthy of divine instruction, grant him the willingness to obey his directive and shower his mercy on our dear country, Nigeria”, he said.

“This is also a time of unity and community, where we all come together to celebrate our faith, strengthen bonds, and shared aspirations. We can then extend kindness to others. It is an opportunity to remember the importance of sacrifice, compassion, and generosity in our lives.

“To all Muslims celebrating Eid-il-Kabir, I wish you a joyous and blessed festival. May your celebrations be filled with love, peace, and happiness. Eid Mubarak!”, he said.
