IKODASS, Partners To Assist Indigent Residents With Cataract Surgery, Glasses

The Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS) is set to host another round of medical outreach, to provide residents of Ikorodu, especially indigent ones with free eyes screening, surgery and glasses.

IKODASS, a socio – cultural and developmental organization, will be partnering with the Relief Human Suffering Foundation and Eye Foundation Hospital, in providing the medical services.

The outreach is scheduled for 10am on July 6 and 7, 2023, at the Ikorodu Town Hall, Ikorodu.

According to Asiwaju Rotimi Erogbogbo, the Chairman of the socio – cultural body which is the umbrella body of all clubs and associations in Ikorodu, over 100 residents are expected to come for the 2-day screening programme.

Erogbogbo also said that five free 5GV lenses will be provided for children in need, while 20 indigent residents requiring cataract surgery will also benefit, free of charge.

In addition, 100 free reading glasses will be distributed to residents after screening.

Hundreds of residents in Ikorodu, have benefited from the free medical outreach organized by the Erogbogbo led IKODASS administration in the last two years with many provided with reading glasses.

About 50 free cataract surgeries have also been facilitated within that period.
