LASU Appoints Dr Anjorin, Sanni Acting Department Heads

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Anjorin

The Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, has announced the appointment of Dr. Abdul-Azeez Anjorin, of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science as the Acting Head, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science of the prestigious institution.

Dr Anjorin, who is from Imota in Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, will serve for two years.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji – Bello, mni, approved his appointment alongside that of Dr. Omolade Sanni, of the Department of Broadcasting, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, as the Acting Head, Department of Broadcasting, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.

According to the University, while the appointment of Dr Anjorin is for a period of two (2) years with effect from Tuesday, 4th April 2023 to Thursday, 3rd April 2025, that of Dr Sanni, which is also for two years with effect from Sunday, 19th March 2023 to Tuesday, 18th March 2025.

Dr Abdul – Azeez Anjorin’s Profile

Anjorin, is a Senior Lecturer and promising young Virologist with problem solving skills and passion for novel discovery and research excellence. He is the Team Lead, Influenza & Other Respiratory Tract Viruses (IORTV) research, Department of Microbiology, Lagos State University. He was recently appointed an Associate Editor and Secretary, Editorial Board of the Faculty- Journal of Research and Review in Science (https://jrrslasu.com/people.php).
