IKODASS 2023: Ikorodu Decides Who Occupies Secretaryship Position, Oyefusi Or Elemuren?

Prince Adesegun Oyefusi and Mr Rasheed Elemuren, contestants for the IKODASS Secretaryship position.

Barring any last minute change, it is certain that only the position of the General Secretary of the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), will be contested for at the General Council Meeting/2023 Election of the socio – cultural and economic association, slated for Sunday, April 2, 2023.

The two contenders are: Prince Adesegun Oyefusi of the Zenith Peers Club and Mr Rasheed Elemuren who is representing The Achievers Enlightenment Association.

Like other twenty aspirants for other positions in the election slated to hold at the Ikorodu Town Hall, both contenders appeared before the Electoral Committee led by Mr Afuwape Abayomi, during the week for screening.

As at yesterday, two positions – General Secretary and the Publicity Secretary, are being contested for by formidable and resourceful individuals, THE IMPACT gathered late yesterday that Mr Onibudo Alabi Rilwan stepped down for Prince Dare ‘Oba’ Oshikoya for the position of the IKODASS Publicity Secretary to pick the form for the Welfare position which was vacant.

Therefore, the only contest now is between the two royal Princes – Oyefusi and Elemuren.

Aside the positions of the Chairman, Deputy, Vice Chairman and Social Secretary, which are currently occupied by Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, Alhaji Adeyeri L. Ajibade, Alhaji Ajalogun Tijani Kamal and Mr Kassim Adeshille, who are the popular faces that are returning for a second term, the new executive council will be seeing new faces like Barr. Samson Disu, the pioneer Chairman, ICAN, Ikorodu Chapter, Prince Dare ‘Oba’ Oshikoya, Assistant General Manager at Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency and Chairman, 1992 Set, United High School Old Students’ Association, Ikorodu, Shakioye Olatunji Seun, a businessman and President, 1997 Set, Oriwu College Old Students’ Association of Nigeria, Okemati Azeez Adebola, a former Supervisory Councilor and grassroots politician and ESV. Rilwan Onibudo, an Estate Valuer and Publicity Secretary, Zenith Peers Club, Ikorodu, among others.

Meanwhile, Mr Afuwape, the electoral body chairman, has assured that his committee is fully ready to host a successful election.

“The ballot papers are ready. The ballot boxes, and every other material are readily on ground. We are ready for the contest. We are ready to carry out our duty as expected of us”, he told THE IMPACT.
