The Community Initiatives For Igbogbo Development (CIIDU), a body of professional sons and daughters of Igbogbo Kingdom in Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, who are facilitating developments for their community, has felicitated the elected Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District and representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, on their re-election.
While Sen. Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru was re – elected and returned for the second term to represent the people of Lagos East, Rep. Babajimi Benson won his re-election bid for the third term as the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, at the last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.
In a statement on Friday by Barr. Adeboye Dankuwo, the CIIDU President, the group said that both victories are well – deserved because of the legislators’ quality representations.
“Your victories in the last National Assembly elections did not come with any form of surprise, because they are well-deserved”, the CIIDU President said.
“Your outstanding and landslide victories are testimonies of your “GOOD WORK” and “DOING GOOD” in Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Lagos East Senatorial District, respectively.
Barr. Dankuwo also said that the group hopes that more dividends of democracy will accrued to their respective constituents with the federal lawmakers’ re-election.
“It is our hope that greater work that is synonymous to the dividends of Democracy awaits our people”, he said.
“We are proud of you in no small way. Once again, we congratulate you”.
