Abiru Mourns Death Of Olori Muyibat Olayinka Oyefusi

Late Olori (Amb.) Muyibat Oyefusi

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has mourned the passing of Olori (Amb.) Muyibat Olayinka Oyefusi, wife of the Late Ikorodu monarch, Oba Salaudeen Afolabi Oyefusi.

Abiru, in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun on Friday in Lagos, described the death of Olori Oyefusi as a great loss to Ikorodu division and Lagos State at large.He said the Late queen was an astute corporate secretary and entrepreneur who left her marks in the corporate world and business.

“Late Olori Oyefusi, an accomplished corporate Secretary, was trained in Nigeria and England respectively, and had a rewarding career in Mobil Oil Nigeria PLC, as an Executive Secretary, resigned and became the First Direct Female Petrol Dealer for Mobil. For over three decades, Late Olori demonstrated great astuteness as a seasoned professional and entrepreneur.

“Mama, will be fondly remembered for the numerous lives she impacted and her selfless service to God Almighty as a devout believer and good wife and mother who was dutiful in bringing up her children in the way of the Lord and instilling in them good values and morals.

“Late Olori Olufusi was a strong pillar of support for our respected Late monarch, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi (Oguntade II), who joined his ancestors in 2014. Mama contributed immensely to the socio-cultural and economic development of Ikorodu during her lifetime”, Olukotun quoted the condolence letter Senator Abiru wrote to the family.

Senator Abiru prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and consoled the family and children of the departed  to take solace in the fact that their Late matriarch lived a life of service to God and humanity.
