The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has stated that Ikorodu is more prosperous and has experienced massive development during the current reign of His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Engr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu.
Abiru, who said that the royal father is always interested in the development of sons and daughters of Ikorodu and his kingdom, made the verdict while felicitating the Ayangbure on his birthday.
In a statement personally signed today by the Senator and his wife, Mrs Feyisola Abiru, he said that his family and team are proud of the quality of Ayangbure’s leadership.
“On behalf of my family and the entire people of Ikorodu and Lagos East Senatorial District, I heartily felicitate our revered monarch, Alaiyeluwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba(Engr) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V, The Ayangbure Of Ikorodu, on his birthday”, Senator Abiru and his wife said.
“Alaiyeluwa, we are proud of the quality leadership you are providing for all and sundry in Ikorodu Kingdom.
“No doubt, your forefathers who had ascended the sacred stool of Ayangbure, are pleased with you. Under your reign, Ikorodu became Nigeria’s 12th largest city, and the third largest city in the Southwest, with attendant massive socio-economic development.
“Kabiyesi, we hold our heads high everywhere we go, because of your royal pedigree and how you are making us proud across Lagos State. At all times, what is paramount in your heart, is to see illustrious sons and daughters of Ikorodu Kingdom attain greatness and bring honour to this land.
“I also use this special occasion to express my profound gratitude for all the fatherly support and counsel you have been offering. I am very grateful Sir”, the statement said.
Abirus prayed that God should grant the revered monarch long life and good health to enable him reign for many more years on the throne of his ancestors.
“On this special occasion, I join your family, and the entire people of Ikorodu, friends and well wishers, in wishing you a happy birthday. More years in good health and prosperity on the throne of your forefathers. Amin. Congratulations!”, Abirus prayed.
