The Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Engr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, has, again, charged residents of Ikorodu to show its political strength in the coming elections by voting massively.

Oba Shotobi, who also said that there will be a town hall meeting later this month to sensitize residents on the coming elections, also added that it is when lkorodu division produces more votes that it can prove her readiness to produce the next governor of the state.

The royal father also reinstated his support for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the Baba Oba of Ikorodu Kingdom and other candidates of the party, asking residents to give them the necessary support.

The revered monarch spoke with THE IMPACT, during an outreach programme by the Lord’s Heritage Foundation at his palace on Sunday.

“Yes, the election is the order of the day and campaigns are going on. I want all of them (residents that are here and others) to come out and vote. They should go and get their PVC and vote for the right choice; for those that have been doing well”, the royal father said.

“Let us continue to follow them because they can do more for us. I am talking about Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Let us give him a chance so that we won’t lose the opportunity. Let everyone join hands with me to vote en – masse for him.

Oba Shotobi also said that:

“We are going to have all the Baales, Chiefs and Obas assembled on the 17th of January at the lkorodu Town hall, to sensitise people, to let them know the importance of this election.

“If we are clamoring for the Governor after this dispensation, we have to show more seriousness by letting our votes count because it is a game of numbers, and when they see the number that we have in Ikorodu, then, they will see that we are serious, and I want people to vote en-masse”, the royal father charged.
