Coronation Of Alagura, Oba Ogunnaike Holds Today

The new Alagura of Agura, Oba Ahmed Moruf Olalekan Ogunnaike coming out of the Ipebi on Friday with the traditional beaded crown.

Agura community will today agog with the official coronation ceremony of Alagura of Agura, Oba Ahmed Moruf Olalekan Ogunnaike.

Oba Ogunnaike from the Ogunnaike Ruling House of Agura and a descendant of Fusenkoye (Baba Alago Ira) of Agura, stepped out of the Ipebi adjacent Igbo Lagura on Friday, January 6, 2023, after 21 days in seclusion which he embarked upon since December 17, 2022.

You would recall that the new monarch received his paraphernalia of office from Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, at the Ikorodu Local Government secretariat, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Hon. Robert Bolaji, the Special Adviser on Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters representing the governor at the presentation.

The historic crowning will be graced by traditional rulers, eminent guests and sons and daughters of Agura far and near.

Large number of Agura residents welcoming back their new Oba from Ipebi.
