Council Boss Reiterates Commitment To Implementing Policies, Programmes To Improve Residents’ Lives

The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Otunba) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, FCA, FCTI, has again stated that his administration is committed to improving the standard of living of residents of the council.

He said that his administration will be implementing policies, programmes and policies that will impact positively and bring about economic prosperity and social harmony to the people.

Otunba Sulaimon disclosed this at the ongoing 4 – Day 2023 Budget Retreat at Femson Hotels & Suites, Agric in Ikorodu West LCDA, which commenced on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

The 2023 Budget of the council is tagged, ‘Budget of Socio – Economic Expansion and Sustainable Development’.

The Council boss, while welcoming political office holders, senior management team and others to the retreat, thanked them for their support since the inception of his administration.

Also at the retreat was the Director-General, Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, Mr.Fatal Idowu Onafowote.

In ensuring that the expectations of the people in Ikorodu West LCDA are fulfilled, Hon. Sulaimon reiterated his commitment to implement policies, programmes and projects, to improve the quality of residents’ lives and assist them on the path of prosperity.

At the budget retreat

He urged all stakeholders to be fully abreast and involved in the procurement process of the council under their departments/units in order to enable the private sector and the council’s development partners to easily align their planned programmes and budget with the council’s new budget circle among other benefits.
 

According to the Chairman, “the retreat will inspire great ideas and resolutions on how to successfully implement more efficient, timely, transparent, accountability and value for money procurement under the budget cycle of year 2023”.
