Itesiwaju Rere Royal Foundation Makes 100 APC Members, Elders Smile At Yuletide Season

Itesiwaju Rere Royal Foundation, a political group based in the Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, has put smiles on the faces of many members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the spirit of Christmas by supporting them with welfare packages.

A total of 100 members and elders in the Ward B (Majidun) area of the Council were presented with food items to celebrate the yuletide season.

The relief materials were presented to the beneficiaries at the frontage of the Majidun/Ogolonto Central Mosque, Majidun, Ikorodu West LCDA, on Saturday, December 24, 2022, by the founder of the Foundation and the Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture, Social Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Muyideen Yusuf Olatunji.

He said that he was extending the gesture through his foundation founded in 2015, to give people the opportunity of benefitting from the government and put food on their tables during the Christmas celebration.

“First and foremost, I give glory to Almighty God, for giving us this avenue. Before I eventually became a Supervisory Councilor in the ward, I had been doing this programme yearly, but today, we are doing it elaborately. We are giving back to the community, especially during this Christmas celebration, to support them”, he said.

“We know there’s hardship and we need to support our people with the little packages to keep them happy during this festive period.

“We decided to share food items to our people in the ward to enable them enjoy the benefits of the government in this season of celebration. However, the project was set ahead to encourage our people, and canvass our them to take part in the next election and support our party fully”, he added.

Prince Muyideen also said that the welfare packages were also aimed at mobilizing residents for the coming generation elections.

“I am just trying to bring them together to celebrate them in my own littles ways, and I urge them to support the progress of our party and all the candidates of our party. I want them to support our candidates from our Presidential candidate to the Assembly. As you can see, our party, through its elected candidates seeking re – election, has done so much and we are still ready to do more”, he said.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr Kayode Adenekan, speaking with THE IMPACT, said:

“We thank God for the season, and for Prince Olatunji who is distributing welfare packages to the people in Ward B, in Ikorodu West LCDA. He is trying his best for his people. If all our honourables could be doing like this, this country would be better positioned”.

Mrs Adebayo Shukurat, another beneficiary, also said:

“We thank Hon Muyideen for what he did today. He has impressed a lot of us. There are lots of Councillors and Supervisory Councilors in our community who have never done this for party members before. So, for him to have remembered to show kindness to the party members, God will lift him higher and this will not be the last one he will do for us”.
