The Christmas parley, also provided the lawmaker the opportunity to avail his guests account of his stewardship in the last 2 years.

Reflecting on the journey, Abiru said: “December 15, 2022 was exactly two years that I was sworn in as the Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Lagos East in the Senate. So, I come today with a heart full of honour to God Almighty. I come with profound gratitude to our great party, the All Progressives Congress, which offered me this platform to represent my people in the National Assembly”.

“I also come with a strong message of appreciation to the people of Lagos East, who generously supported my aspiration; who overwhelmingly voted for me on December 6, 2020 and who still passionately believe in my mission of ‘doing good ”with greater good for a greater number”.

The Senator also explained the three pillars that guide his interventions,  namely: legislative role, empowerment/facilitations, and endowment, adding that he had sponsored thirteen (13) private member bills and co-sponsored three (3) others.

Two (2) of the bills are of particular interest to our entrepreneurs (MSME) and the youth. They are: Copyright bill 2021 (Repeal and Re-enactment) which has gone through first and second readings, public hearing and third reading and has been passed in the Senate. The second bill is the Franchise Regulation Bill 2022 which has gone through first and second readings and is now awaiting public hearing”.
