2023: Lagos APC Inaugurates Campaign Team With Sen. Solomon As Director General

Lagos APC Campaign committee inaugurated on Thursday.

All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos chapter, on Thursday, inaugurated its campaign Council to oversee the 2023 general elections across the state with a view to ensure victory for the party’s candidates.

Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, APC State Chairman at the inauguration charged the Council with Sen. Ganiyu Solomon as Director – General and Ogboni Fuad Oki as its Secretary/Head of Administration, that the party is expecting nothing less than 5 million votes for the Presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Lagos.

According to Ojelabi, the campaign committee is headed by the state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while himself will serve as Deputy Chairman, and the State’s Deputy Governor, Dr Oabfemi Hamzat,  is the Vice Chairman.

Charging the committee on the task ahead, Ojelabi said:

“The members of the committee were carefully selected owing to your individual abilities and the belief that you will collectively, as a committee, deliver the state to the party”, he said.

“You are enjoined to work as a team and to carry everyone along. You are also recommended to reconcile seeming differences within the party which may have arisen following our primaries, for us to go into the elections as one family.

“I have no doubt this powerful committee will do us proud and win overwhelmingly for our dear party APC.

“I am glad to say with a sense of satisfaction that the growing fortunes of the party in Lagos State, back-to-back in the last six election cycles will no doubt increase our chances of a landslide victory.”

Members of the campaign’s Advisory Council and Management Committee listed are: Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker, House of Representatives; Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN, Minister for Works & Housing; Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly; Otunba Femi Pedro, former Deputy Governor; Dr Sarah Sosan, former Deputy Governor; and Her Excellency, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulure, Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs.

Others were Dr Idiat Adebule, former Deputy Governor, Chief Henry Ajomole, former party Chairman, Chief Tunde Balogun, former parry Chairman, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, Mr Tokunbo Abiru, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Hon. Wasiu Sanni-Eshinlokun

On the list of the State Election Management Committee are Hon. Sunmi Odesanya, APC State Secretary, Rep. Babajimi Benson, Hon. Ademorin Kuye, Hon. Saka Solaja, Hon. Lateef Abiru, AIG Hakeem Odumosu (rtd.), Mrs Yetunde Arobieke, Hon. Segun Agbaje, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Hon. Sesan Daini, Hon. Alimi Nurudeen Alowonle and Mr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje,  among others.

The Election Management Committee is to be assisted by 11 Directorates which include Secretariat; Planning, Research and Strategy; Budget and Finance; Mobilisation; Transport and Logistics; Strategic Communications; Volunteer/Support Group; Legal; Information and Technology; Religious; Ethnic Nationalities; Women; Youth and Student Affairs; Security; Organising; and Special Duties.

Ogboni Fuad Oki, will head the campaign administration, while Rep. Babajimi Benson, the representative, Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Defense made the list as the Head of the Budget & Funds Directorate.

Seye Oladejo is the Head of the Publicity Directorate and Hon. Moroof Adinderu Fatai will head the Mobilization Directorate.

Also announced are, Hon. Fatai Ayoola, Ethnic Groups,  Barr. Ademola Sadiq, Legal and Hon. Oyin Danmole Religious Organization Directorates.

Engr. Adekunle Olayinka, Dr Kayode Opeifa, Hon. Moshood Mayegun, and Barr. Tokunbo Wahab are put incharge of Volunteer & Support Groups, Transport & Logistics, Security and Information Technology respectively.

 In-charge of the Youth & Students Affairs, Women Affairs, Special Duties  and Organization are Dr Murtala Seriki, Hon. Jumoke Okoya – Thomas, Hon. Lateef Ibirogba and Comrade Ayodele Adewale
