Igbogbo Youths Celebrate Eyibi, Eluku Festivals With Adeboruwa, Igbogbo Community

The Igbogbo Youth Congress (IYC) has rejoiced with the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, and his entire chiefs on the celebration of the 2022 Eyibi/Eluku festival.

The annual traditional festival commenced last week with performances by Agemo masquerades at the night market and social activities.

Agemo/Eluku is a festival that usually last for about a week and is being used to pray for the peace, economic and other developments in the ancient town.

In a statement signed by the President and the Publicity Secretary of the IYC, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa, the youth group commended the royal father and Igbogbo traditionalists for their efforts in ensuring peaceful coexistence in the community.

“The entire youths of Igbogbo and it environs rejoice with OBA ADEBORUWA IN COUNCIL & ELUKU/EYIBI CHIEFS on the Year 2022 edition of Eyibi/Eluku Festival”, he said.

“The wonderful efforts of the traditionalists towards achieving a peaceful coexistence, interpersonal relationship and oneness in the land of Cool Beauty can never be overemphasized.

“Odun Ayabo ooooo”.
