Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Former Secretary to the State Government and chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC)
The management of Lekan Aroyewun Project (LeAP) and Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) political groups have described a political figure and chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Reuben Basorunas patriarch of inestimable global impacts and a quintessential nationalist as he clocked 84 years old.
The group which are the think tank and political groups of Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, who aspired for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly during the last primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement signed on behalf of the LeAP management team and all HOA groups by Adeleke Aroyewun and Nurudeen Oshinlaja, celebrating the old political warhorse on Saturday, October 15, 2022, the groups also said that Asiwaju Basorun is known for his experience burning issues which made him a leader who is in tune with modernity.
The commemorative statement in celebration of Asiwaju Basorun at 84 years is reproduced below:
