Comrade Sunday Ogunfowora Emerges NULGE State President, As Ajose Group Records Total Victory

Comrade Sunday Sewanu Ogunfowora has been elected as the State President of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Lagos State chapter.

The State President – elect scored 302 votes to defeat his opponent, Comrade Pelaiye Jamiu who polled 205 votes, at the State Delegate Elections held at the NULGE House on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

While Comrade Ogunfowora belongs to the Ajose Mandate Group (AMG) led by the outgoing State President, Comrade Pelaiye is leading The Progressives Group (TPG) led by the former State President, Comrade Lasisi Akinsanya.

In the election, the AMG group’s candidates also won other ten positions that were contested for, as local government employees massively voted for them.
