One Year In Office: Councillor Oluwakemi Buraimoh Gives Account Of Stewardship

Dear Constituents,

Today marks a year I was officially sworn in to represent your interest of SHAOLAFUN/AGBELE (ward F) at our dear Local Government.

The journey so far, though, has been  challenging but with your support and prayers, has being nothing short of awesomeness and a learning process.

In my usual way of being accountable to you all, I have put together some of the many things I have achieved with your help in one year and still counting on your support always.

  1. EDUCATION

– I facilitated 4 bursary forms for my constituents in July 2021

– I purchased 3 GCE forms for my constituents in October, 2021

– I facilitated 18 forms of Skill Acquisition Programme in Sept. 2021

– Purchased and facilitated 10 Jamb forms for my constituents in March, 2022

2. EMPLOYMENT

– Facilitated 2 AdHoc Immunization Slots in Sept. 2021

– 3 Slots of Tayo Ayinde Empowerment Scheme in Sept. 2021

– Facilitated 1 Eko Token slot in October 2021

– Facilitated 2 slots of Fire Service Employment

– Facilitated 2 slots of Measles Vaccination slots in June, 2022

– Facilitated health service employment to a constituent, now working at Imota Primary Health Care

3. LEGISLATIVE STRIDES

With the support of my colleagues in the house, I succeeded  in moving and supporting series of motions on the floor of the house, which includes;

– Motion asking the Chairman to call on all security apparatus to tighten up and live up  task of protecting all residents and their property within Ikorodu Local Government(December 2021)

– Seconded a motion moved by Hon. Shokunbi on lightening up, clearing of bushes, trees and fencing the cementry at Sabo (December 2021)

– Moved a motion on calling of the State Government to work on )”speed breakers”  on Awolowo Road (August 2021)

– Motion on the Environmental Hazard of Agbele Gas plant (June 2022)

Installation of solar power by the Councillor.

4. ROAD & INFRASTRUCTURE

My active engagement in community services include:

– Offloading 6 tippers of rubbles in front of Price-rite, Olayemi Estate, Eketunde with spreading as palliative measure on the roads in September 2021

– Spreading of rubbles beside Grammar school with digging of drainage in October 2021

– Digging of drainage at Olayemi Estate towards Red block junction, clearing of under culvert and filling of road in October, 2021

– Facilitated donation of borehole at Owode in Nov. 2021

– Clearing of drainage and filling of potholes at Oshikoya/Andu Street, Anibaba October 2021

Packs of food items distributed by the Councillor.

– Intervention to the sweeping and clearing of mopped up Sand along Ewu-Elepe to Ginti. October 2021

– The Donation of N50,000 to Joint CDAs of Agbele for the rehabilitation of Red Block junction culvert

– Rehabilitation of Red Block Junction culvert, December, 2021

– Grading of Roads within my Ward in December. 2021

-Donation of 6 solar street lights to Jeitan CDA

5. OTHERS

– Cash donation to support Football competition in Agbele November, 2021

– Cash support to so many constituents.

A grader used for his road projects.

– Buying fuel for communities to pump water during the black out issue of Electricity. (January 2022)

– Facilitated the Flood Relief Fund to 5 constituents

– Facilitated one beneficiary for the Executive Chairman’s 100days in office cash support
