Ikorodu Constituency I & II:95 Delegates To Decide 13 Aspirants Fates

Hon. Sanai Agunbiade and Mr Gbolahan Ogunleye, two leading aspirants for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat.

After months of campaigning across the six Local Government and Local Council Development Areas in Ikorodu Constituency I and II, by over 30 aspirants, only 14 of them including the incumbent representatives in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade and Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, will today have their fates decided by the party delegates.

Other seven aspirants that obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms and cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Constituency I are: Mr Eniola Wake Up Adeyemi, Mr Bolaji Olanrewaju Isikalu, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu, Mr Bisiriyu Alogba, Mr Gbolahan Ogunleye, Mr Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan and Mrs Ogbara H. Omowunmi.

In Constituency II, Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun, Onamade O. Adeleke, Oresanya Saliu, Abiodun and Salisu Fathiu Jimoh.

Meanwhile, 55 delegates are expected to vote their preferred choice at the primary election for the lkorodu Constituency l Assembly seat, which holds at the Ikorodu West LCDA, venue of the exercise, while 40 delegates will do same at the Onas hall, along Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Way, Igbogbo, for the lkorodu Constituency ll Assembly seat.

Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun and Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, who are also the major contenders for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat.

Meanwhile, Hon. Fathiu Salisu Jimoh, who is among the six aspirants cleared for the primary election in Ikorodu Constituency II, today, withdrew from the race.

The Council Chairman, who said that he withdrew in the interest of Ijede LCDA, also added that he is throwing his weight behind Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun, winner of the shadow election conducted in Ijede.
