Prince Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), an aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, today observed the Eid – el – Fitr prayer at the Egbin Praying Ground, Egbin Kingdom in Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The young politician joined the Chief Imam of Egbin and other Muslim residents in celebrating the end of the Ramadan prayer.
Speaking with THE IMPACT after the prayer, the aspirant congratulated Muslims on the completion of Ramadan fast which ultimately heralds the Eid celebration.
“I congratulate our highly revered Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oab (Dr) Akeem Otyebo and other Muslim traditional rulers in Ikorodu Division, political leaders, party members and entire residents that are also Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting. .
“It is my prayer to Almighty Allah to accept our prayers throughout the fasting period which culminated into today’s celebration across the division, state, nation and the globe at large.
“I pray that Allah set our country on the path of development and greatness.
“I pray that He grant us the grace to observe many more of Ramadan in good health and best of faith, and reward us with Al-Jannah Firdaus,”, Aroyewun said.
He also charged that residents should act and celebrate peacefully and extend hands of fellowship to others that are in need.
