LG Administration: APC Releases SLG, Supervisors, Advisers Lists

Kunle Olambiwoninu, Secretary, Ijede LCDA, Niyi Odugbesi, Secretary, Ikorodu North LCDA and Ade Ayeni, Secretary to Igbogbo/bayeku LCDA.

At last, the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the state level has approved and released a list of cabinet members of the 20 local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across Lagos State.

The lists, signed by Hon. Cornelius O. Ojelabi, Lagos  State APC Chairman, were released on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

In Ikorodu Division, the six councils, we gathered, picked the lists of their Secretaries to the Local Government , Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers, on Friday, April 7, 2022.

It was gathered that virtually all the chairmen on the same day called the appointees on their list to inform them of their appointments and made the list available to their Legislative Council for screening, except Ikorodu Local Government Chairman who, until today, is yet to release the list.

According to sources, THE IMPACT gathered that Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, Governor of Lagos State, directed all the council chairmen across the state to ensure that appointees are screened and sworn – in between Friday, April 8 and Monday, April 11, 2022.

As of today, the Legislative Arms of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Ikorodu West LCDA and Ijede LCDA have screened candidates on their lists.

In Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, those on the list for Supervisory and Advisory roles that have been screened are: Dauda Oshinlaja, Hon.Wasiu Olowu (a former Councilor), Mrs Moriat Adekoya, Alhaji W A. Yusuff (a former Supervisor), Com. Lateef Odusanya (T.Y SLEEK) (the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA), Ade Bolowotan (former Chief of Staff to the Chairman), Mr Yinka Ogunlaja (former Chairmanship aspirant) and Micheal Ayeni.

On the cabinet list for Ikorodu West LCDA are Anifowose for the position of Secretary to the Council, while Adelani Okunnade, Rasheedat Dayo Awodigan, Salau Rashidat Jibike, Muyideen Yusuf, Wale Saliu, Femi Dairo and Morenike Oshikoya are listed for Supervisory positions.

The sole Special Adviser position goes to Shoderu Yomi.

In Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr Odugbesi Niyi was returned as the Secretary to the Council, while Mr Mathew Adesanya, former aspirant for the Chairmanship position and former SLG, Aro Balogun, former Councilor, Ambali Olutusen, former Councilor and one Mr Sulaimon are listed for the positions of Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers.

Also on the list are Ms Adewunmi, daughter of the former Chairman, Ikorodu LG and the Apex leader in Ikorodu North LCDA, Alhaji Akibu Adewunmi and Mr Salau, son of the former Chairman of the party in the council, also made the list.

In Imota LCDA, THE IMPACT gathered that Mr Hassan Anjorin, a former Supervisory Councilor and Hon. Mohammed Fagbesan, also a former Supervisory Councilor among others, made the list.

THE IMPACT gathered that the Legislative Arm of the council will screen the appointees on Tuesday and there is possibility that they will be inaugurated by the Chairman on the same day.

In Ijede LCDA, Hon.Kabir Femi Kareem, Vice Chairman of the council was screened today and cleared. He will now doubled as the Vice Chairman and the Supervisor for Agriculture and Community Development, while Kunle Olambiwonnu, retained his position as the Secretary to Local Government.

Also screened and cleared for Supervisory positions are: Abiodun Ajayi, Supervisor for Works, Gbolahan Quadri, Supervisor for Heath, Adijat Olaitan Amusat, Supervisor for Education and Fashola Abayomi, Supervisor for Environment and Abiodun Disu-Shoyiga, Supervisor for Budget.

For the Special Adviser positions are: Remilekun Ganiyat Quadri, S.A. for Political and Religious Affair, Oye Adenuga, S.A.for Youth and Sport and Bisola Abebi Abari..S.A for Women and Poverty Alleviation.
